PAクラスは全員経験者なので、表現も外食の注文の仕方やバスの乗り換え、物語も社会的な行事を取り入れたりしています。

PA class students are all experienced, so they take lessons like ordering the menu at the restaurant in Useful Expressions, leaning social events in the dialogs.

ダイアログ（物語）の学習です。シャドーイング（影追い）と言って、ネイティブ音声の少し後を声を出して追いかけます。必ず3回は行って、スムーズに発話出来るようにしています。

In this photo students are studying the dialog. The students follow a little after the native speaker’s voice saying the same dialogs. It is called “shadowing”. They are trying to speak fluently saying the dialogs at least three times.

少し難しい事もします。シャドーイングが終わったら、セリフのところが空白になっている絵を見せて、何と言えば良いかを思い出させます。難しいことを考えることによって、表現力が上がることもあります。

They are trying a slightly difficult thing. I showed them the pictures without the phrases, and I had them remember how to say the phrases. They sometimes improve their level of expression by thinking about something complex.

レッスンごとに、よく使われる表現を学習します。この日は「～歳の時、～をした。」という文です。

「自転車を買った」「東京に行った」などの過去の事を思い出させて、歳を入れて表現していきます。

The students practice one key sentence in each lesson.

On this day, they learned “When I was ～, I ～.”

I had them remember the past things like “bought a bicycle”, “went to Tokyo” , they made the sentences remembering the age they had experienced.

習った表現を使ったリスニングクイズも行います。選択肢が文章の時は、特に慎重に聴き取っています。

They are doing a listening quiz using the expressions that they have already learned.

The students are listening to the question carefully especially when the choice is a sentence.

習った文章の書き取りまで行っています。長い文章になると、英文のルールを忘れる事がありますので、私もしっかりチェックをしていきます。

They also practice writing the sentences. They sometimes forget the rules of English sentences when they write the longer sentences, so I am always checking what they wrote.

まず、その日の日付、曜日、天気や時間を一緒にチェックします。火曜日と木曜日、6月と7月などは区別が付きにくいので、二つの言葉をピクチャーカードを並べて言う練習をします。

First, we checked the date, day, weather, and the time together. Tuesday and Thursday, June and July are difficult to distinguish. So, I had him practice saying two words placing the picture cards.

自己紹介の練習です。この日は、自分と自分の家族の誕生日。月も綴りが長いので、覚えにくい単語のひとつです。Mくんは、先週学習した自分の誕生日を英語で覚えていました！

This is the practice of self-introduction. The topic is his and his family’s birthdays.

Saying the words for month is difficult to remember because the spelling of the words is long.

“M” remembered how to say his birthday after learning it in the previous week’s class.

この日のメインセンテンスは「～が好き？」という学校でも既習の内容でしたので、たくさん発話が出来ました。小道具を使って「はい、好きです。」「いいえ、好きではありません。」と答える時も、レッスンを盛り上げます。

とっさの一言表現の練習です。Mくん、聴こえたままきれいに発音出来るようになって来ました！

This is the practice of Useful Expressions. M came to pronounce the words just as he heard them.

ライティングの時間です。英文は、始めの文字は大文字、同じ単語同士はくっつける、単語と単語の間は一文字文空けるなどのルールがあり、Ｍくんはとても丁寧に書いています。

This is the writing time. English sentences have some rules. For example, the first letter of a word in a sentence uses a big letter, words have spaces between them, so “M” is writing the sentences very carefully.

簡単な教科横断型の学習も行います。

この日は花火について。英語では、火薬を使って作品を生み出す事から”fireworks”と言います。

打ち上げ花火の一つを「やなぎ：willow」と表現したりします。

「木：tree」は学習しても、柳は一般的な英語のレッスンでは出てこないのではないでしょうか。

このように、いろんな教科や文化を英語で学習する事も行っています。

Students are also studying cross-curriculum learning.

This day is about “fireworks”. In English, “fireworks” come from the thing that we produce the works using the fire gunpowder.

“Willow” is one name of a firework, but it is also the name of a tree.

We usually learn the English word “tree” , which is a common word, so it is rare to study names of trees such as “willow”.

In this way, students are studying various subjects and culture in English.

一言表現では、「もし～なら」というイメージを膨らませます。この日は、もし海外旅行に行けたら？どこで何をしたいか？飛行機では何を頼むか？という会話を英語で練習します。今はなかなか旅行にも行けませんが、いつか行ける時の為に、いろんな表現を身に付ける事は大切です。

In Useful Expressions, students fill their imaginations where they would go and what they would do if they could go abroad, and what they would order in the airplane on the way to the foreign country.

We can not go abroad easily recently, but it is important for us to learn various expressions to be able to go there sometime.

月に２度行う単語テスト。生徒たちは真剣に取り組んでいます。

This is the picture of the vocabulary test twice a month. The students are taking it seriously.

今回は、スピーチの発表もありました。自分の日常生活についてです。

“I go to table tennis practice after school”.

など、10文くらいをしっかり発表します。

文法学習では、この日は３人称単数現在形の応用。日本語には無い文法なので、３単現は本当に良く忘れる文法の一つです。

“Nick and Tom (　　　　 ) basketball.”

という文章で、Tomだけを見て動詞にsを付けてしまったりしないように、私も指で人を表して、分かりやすいように説明します。

教科横断型学習の時間。この日は、世界のお祭りでした。オーストラリアのツナラマ・フェスティバル（マグロ投げ）と韓国のポリョン・マッド・フェスティバル（泥風呂など）のどちらに興味があるかを例文を見ながら英語で表現し、書くところまで行います。

This is the time for cross-curriculum learning about festival around the would. The students express which festival you are interested in, the Tunarama Festival or the Boryeong Mud Festival using the hints, and write their answers.
